The Ottawa Power Wheelchair Hockey League (OPWHL) kicked off its 2025–2026 season with great energy and was featured on CTV News Ottawa this week.

CTV News Ottawa joined us at the Greenboro Community Centre to capture the excitement of our first regular season session. The piece highlights the return of power wheelchair hockey in Ottawa, the community behind it, and the inclusive spirit that drives our league.

We’re thrilled to share that the Ottawa Power Wheelchair Hockey League (OPWHL) was featured on CTV News Ottawa during our first regular season session on October 19th, 2025!

Reporter Josh Marano and the CTV crew stopped by the Greenboro Community Centre to cover the return of power wheelchair hockey in Ottawa, a sport that combines teamwork, competition, and community in one of the most inclusive settings in Canadian sport.

Players, coaches, and volunteers alike were excited to be back on the court after the offseason. The coverage showcases the passion, energy, and resilience of our athletes, as well as the strong sense of camaraderie that defines our league.
